not much really changed. i spent most of today tweaking them geometry like in video 5. The geometry is really weird but hopefully i can get the modeling done next class

the phaser looks fairly good. Some errors wont show in the fnial render but would be noticable upon further examination.

5/23/12

Well... my vertexes don't line up. I will have to somehow snap them all together. Since i missed so much class I will take the phaser home and get some good work done there.

KickStarter idea

I know that there are already 3-D printers but this one seems to be small and convenient. A good point was brought up that imagine little kids being able to build their own toys and parts, it could be a game-changer. And its only $75, I think...

Teacup Final Render

I used a wood texture as the "Table" and I think that it looks pretty good. The objects look good as well, I have been devoting most of my time to the phaser.

5/11/12

The phaser is starting to look like an actual phaser. Hopefully I can get it done pretty soon. Next class I can pretty much finish video 2 and probably half of 3. 5 more classes and i should be done. I'm worried about getting an A in this class, hopefullly my effort shows...

well...i had to restart because the two planes didn't line up. I spent the entire period trying to figure out how to align them and set the scene up succesfully. Next class i will get more of the phaser done.

5/3/12

I started working on the Phaser but now it looks like I will have t redo the fish. I spent many class periods trying to make it look better but it just doesn't seem to look good. I was hoping that I could put enough effort to make up for it, but I should probably put the Phaser on hold for now. I'm not very good at the 3-D stuff, and never have been. I prefer programming, it makes more sense I have more fun doing it.
